The ordering process is pretty simple and it starts with you requesting a quote, emailing us or giving us a call. We will then contact you and provide you with a quote followed by an art proof at no charge. When requesting a quote please make sure to let us know how many coins you would like to order. We also need to know what size coin you would like to order. The standard size coin usually is 1.75″ but we can make custom coins in most common sizes.

Part of the process is to speak to you over the phone so we have clear idea of what you would like to order. We will be emailing your proof and estimate to you. We will need written approval to create your coins. Please let us know if you prefer to do everything through email as we normally will call you within 24 hours of receiving your quote request. We look forrwad to working with you!
Here are some common answers to placing your order:
- Our minimum order quantity during our busy months is 100 coins and feel free to ask about smaller quantities but the pricing for 50 coins is almost as much as 100 coins du to the cost of the dies.
- Artwork: We can accept all forms of artwork including file such as Power Point, Corel, Photo Shop, Illustrator, tifs, jpg, gifs as well as faxes. We do not charge for artwork as long the quote has been approved.
- Die charges: are based on the size of the coin you would like to order as well as the artwork we are reproducing. 3D dies are quoted and normally take a few extra days to produce an art proof for.
- Rush Orders: Special ship date requests may be fulfilled if requested and agreed upon by The Monterey Company. A rush charge may be necessary. Please call for quotation and availability.
- We accept most credit cards including American Express, Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.
- Less Than Minimum quantities will be quoted on an individual basis.
- Reorders: There are no die or tooling charges for exact repeat reorders. Please reference the personalized item number assigned (found on acknowledgements and invoices) when placing reorders. Production time is one week less than stated in catalog for each specific process.
